Okay, massive breaking news. Russell Brand has just been charged with rape and two counts of sexual assault. He’s also been charged with one count of oral rape and one count of indecent assault.
Now, these charges also relate to four separate women. The crazy part about this, though, as we all remember, is that in 2013, Channel 4 and The Times came out with a documentary that reported on four women who accused Russell Brand of sexual assault. But from those incidents, he was never actually charged with anything, they were just accusations, and they allegedly happened between 2006 and 2013.
The ones that he is just being charged with allegedly happened from 1999 to 2005, meaning it does not seem that they are the same women and they are not the same incidents. Russell has previously denied all accusations, and he said that he has never had non-consensual sex with a woman. The court date has been set to the 2nd of May, so as we know more, I’ll keep you guys updated.
